Dr Didier Vila is Founder and CEO of Alpha Matica. The firm advises operators and PE deal teams on data-estate transformation, technology due diligence, and AI strategy: the estate as a system, the loop that is a moat, and the operating model that has to hold it.

 

​He was Global Head of Data Science at QuantumBlack, McKinsey, where he built the UK practice from 10 to 160+ people and revenue from £500k to £27m, and rolled the data operating model across eight hubs. As Chief Data Science & AI Officer at Utility Warehouse he replaced a fragmented legacy estate with an enterprise data mesh and the Heimdall monitoring platform, for a multi-service business of more than a million customers, through a period when revenue moved from £860m to £2.4bn. He sits in the chair as interim CDAO or AI Director or Head of Data Science when the work needs an effective operator.
