Dr Didier Vila is Founder of Alpha Matica, and an operator as much as an adviser. He works with operators and PE deal teams on data-estate transformation, technology due diligence and AI strategy, and when the work needs it he steps in himself as interim Chief Data & AI Officer, AI Director or Head of Data Science, running the function and working hands-on in the operation until the capability stands on its own.

He was Global Head of Data Science at QuantumBlack, McKinsey, where he grew the UK practice from 10 to more than 160 people and its revenue from £500k to £27m, and rolled out the data operating model across eight hubs. As Chief Data Science & AI Officer at Utility Warehouse, a multi-service business with more than a million customers, he replaced a fragmented legacy estate with an enterprise data mesh and the Heimdall model-monitoring platform.
